Principal's Message

It gives me immense joy to welcome all of you to St. Arnold's School, Rourkela. The motto of this temple of learning is 'Tamaso Maa Jyotirgamaya,' - a humble prayer to the Almighty to lead us from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge.

" The motto of this temple of learning is 'Tamaso Maa Jyotirgamaya,' - a humble prayer to the Almighty to lead us from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. "

Education and innovation has changed our life and lifestyle over the last few decades, but we see that the education system has largely remained unchanged. We still follow the 'good old' methods of education. We teach the children the way we have been taught by our teachers years ago. We still believe in the 'tried and tested methods' of the past.

But the times have changed. We cannot remain ignorant about the rapid change in the world and the way we live since the dawn of this century. It is high time we thought ahead of the change. In such a situation the challenge of an educationist is not just to make the student competent to face his 'today' but more importantly to face his/her 'tomorrow' that we are not sure of - a future that we as teachers may not be alive to see at all.

I wish that the faculty of this institution would lead that change to form leaders of change. We would like to partner with all students, teachers, support staff, alumni, parents and well-wishers that St. Arnold's School, Rourkela, becomes a leader in learning, providing opportunities of holistic growth to all who are associated with this institution. May the Divine Light lead each one of us to become leaders of learning. May we be able to recognize the Divine Light that is within ourselves and in others as well. 'Tamaso Maa Jyotirgamaya.'

With best wishes and God's blessing to every visitor to this website.
